Week of February 9, 2009
A Successful Conference:
This past weekend, Mr. Haley was the keynote speaker at the Association of German International Schools. He spoke on identifying obsolete topics in the curriculum as an impetus to change. The whole weekend was successful and everyone learned lots!
Grade 9 Math:
The students will be getting back their Mensuration Test and the Measuring the Senior School Projects. Then we will tackle solving equations involving absolute value. Finally we'll end the week by spending three days on the Canadian Math Competition.
Grade 12 Math Studies:
Classes are cancelled this week due to all the seniors taking their mock exams.
Grade 8 Design Technology:
This week the students will be turning in their Storyboards on their new story they are creating. Most of the period will be spent creating their stories in Alice.
